Calling All Jr. High Students and their Families!

Dear Montfort Families,

Thursday, October 6th there will be a Westchester Catholic High School Fair held at St. Joseph's Seminary (located at 201 Seminary Avenue in Yonkers) from 4PM to 7 PM.

This is a wonderful opportunity for families with 6th, 7th and 8th Graders to meet representatives from all local Catholic High Schools, including The Montfort Academy. Please tell your familiy and friends and ask them to spread the word, too!

Applications for Montfort's "Scholarships for Scholars Program" will be distributed at this High School Fair and also at Montfort's Fall Open House on Saturday, October 22 from 12:00 noon to 3:00PM.

Thank you so much for helping Montfort reach as many prospective families as possible.

Sincerely,

Dr. Elizabeth Rex
Director of Admissions

College Admissions note from Mrs. Garr:

Dear Parents of Seniors,

Here is important information re: application deadlines, requirements, etc.,
if you are planning to apply to the Macaulay Honors Program or any other CUNY school. (Thank you, Mr. Terenzio, for forwarding this to me.)

Also, I am in the process of meeting with each senior regarding his/her post-high school plans. Please ask your child when he/she is scheduled to meet with me. If you wish to attend, please let me know. If you cannot make this time, just give a call or e-mail me, and we can meet at another time as a follow-up to my initial meeting with your child. I am telling each senior that their applications should be completed and all transcript request forms should be turned in to me by November 1st-and certainly, no later than December 1st. Any student who is applying EARLY DECISION should let me know immediately and everything should be done and turned in to me by October 15th.

As always, thank you so much for your support and for sharing your most
precious commodity with us here at Montfort-your children!

Have a great day.

Donna Garr

College Visitations

Dear Parents,

I am distributing this list to your children this afternoon. It will be changing regularly, so I will let them know, and I will do my best to send the updated lists to you, as well.

Have a wonderful weekend, and if you haven’t already, please contact me regarding a senior appointment.

Thank you!
Donna Garr

Update for Juniors:

Dear Parents of Juniors,

Attached is a list of college visitations. It is a good idea that if any of your children are interested in any of these schools, they should introduce themselves to the College Representative. Sooner than we think, the college admissions process will be upon us.

Have a great weekend.
